| This is a window/hole in the floor (rather common) where ol' lady Winchester used to listen in on the help's discussions taking place in the kitchen below. She paid good wages for her time (I forget what that was right now) but used to pay on a daily basis so she could (and did) fire people at a moments notice. If she heard disparaging comments from the staff, they were fired at once. There was never a shortage of people wanting to work for her because of the good wages she paid. |
