The Rooms museum, a cross between a natural history museum and an art museum, looks like someone Photoshoped
a photo of some St. John's houses against the hillside, but badly. Many of the St. John's residents do not like it--at least
how it looks. The site of The Rooms is on top of what once was Fort Townsend (General Townsend's brother was the
guy in England who started the tax act on tea that got the whole tax rebellion started in Boston). The remains of the fort
still remain in the basement and future plans are to provide access to, and display them.
